My name is Adam Kaluzny, originally from Poland and settled down in New Zealand in 2006. My adventure with archery started in Invercargill (Southland) in 2013 in the local Southland Archery Club. Over the years archery became an important part of my life with my first big event as World Master Games in Auckland 2017. Over the next few years, I was able to represent New Zealand on a few international events including the 2018 Oceania Championship (Noumea, New Caledonia) where I could meet with many members of the Oceania archery community. Since then, it has always been a pleasure to be among like minded people from many Oceania countries.
Also, since 2017 I was involved in the judging part of archery and in 2023 I passed the Continental Judge exam. It’s a great opportunity to be involved in the sport and people and give back to the community.
By profession I’m a geologist, I’ve completed my MSc and PhD in geology at the Wroclaw University in Poland. On a daily basis I’m working as a Mine Geologist in Southland.
