Malo e lelei and Greetings to you all.
My name is Hans Arne Jensen, born of Danish and Tongan descent, residing in, and representing the Kingdom of Tonga.
I honestly can’t think of a time where I wasn’t in love and completely captivated with bows and arrows, but the actual sport of archery found its way into my life when I was 11 years old and I have been active in many capacities of the sport ever since.
I’ve been competing quite regularly for the last 15 years. The highlight of my career will always be the Rio Olympics 2016 where I shot against my idol Sjef Van Den Berg and he reminded me why he was the guy I idolised.
Outside the Archery world, I am a full-time father to two beautiful girls and a husband to a very patient wife.
Huge fan of music; from lyricism in hip hop to early Elvis Presley. The standup comedy GOAT Dave Chapelle. Honestly just a huge fan of Art in general. AND of course I love sports! Die hard fan of Golden state warriors in the NBA and the Chiefs in Rugby.
Farmer and builder/carpenter contractor by trade.
I’ve found myself in some Politics, Human rights initiatives and have participated as a Youth Parliamentarian and a Tongan UNFPA representative to the ICPD Summit 2020.
All in all, I look forward to working with you all in pushing for the sport we all love.
