Oceania Target Championships 2026

April 16 - April 19
WAOceaniaCQT24 David Edmundson

As Chair of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the WAO Target Championships 2026, to be held in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland on 16-19 April 2026, it is my pleasure to invite you to join us for this exciting event.

The tournament will be hosted in Takanini, situated in the heart of South Auckland, where participants can enjoy the region’s rich cultural diversity, vibrant communities, and convenient access to the wider Auckland area. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore nearby attractions such as the Auckland Botanic Gardens, the bustling markets and eateries of Manukau, or venture further afield to experience Auckland’s beautiful beaches and outdoor activities. April is a wonderful time to visit, with major events such as the Pasifika Festival, regional cultural celebrations, and a variety of sporting fixtures taking place before and after our tournament.

We look forward to welcoming all athletes and officials to the WAO Target Championships and we are sure you will enjoy not only the competition but also the chance to reconnect with old friends and build new friendships.

Ngā mihi nui, many thanks
Cushla Matheson
Chair of the Local Organising Committee
