We are excited to congratulate the new President of Solomon Island’s Archery; Ms. Doris Laula, who was voted into the role in Honiara last week. “The Federation successfully held an Extra AGM and voted for new leaders. The Federation elected its President, Treasurer and Four new members to replace inactive ones” Said a NOCSI media release, following the event. The elected officials are:
President– Ms. Doris Laula
Treasurer– Ms. Rose Clough
Secretary– Eddy Fiti

When speaking with the new president, she told WAO that she is “Excited but also nervous” to take on the role and has much work ahead of her. “Our main goal and plan is to continue with the program we’ve recently started, to keep the program moving and get many archers shooting. We also to need to find a good ground for us to start shooting regularly.”
The Solomon Island’s will play an important part in our region in the coming years, given its recent successful bid on the 2023 Pacific Games. “We welcome Doris and the new executive and look forward to working with them to grow the sport in Oceania” says Secretary General Patsy Vercoe.
