Oceania will be represented at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio by seven athletes from three Countries.
Australians Taylor Worth, Ryan Tyack and Alec Potts qualified an Australian men’s team for the Rio 2016 Games after they finished in the top eight at the 2015 World Championships. Taylor Worth is the only one with Olympic experience, having claimed ninth place at the London 2012 Olympics. They are joined by 2010 Youth Olympian Alice Ingley, after Australia was able to secure one women’s spot at the 2016 Oceania Championships.
Fiji will be represented by Robert Elder, who will be representing his country at the Games for the third time after competing at Athens 2004 and London 2012. Robert also gained his Rio place at the Oceania qualifier in Tonga.
Tonga qualified one male and one female athlete at the Oceania Qualification Tournament, and will send Arne Jensen and Lusi Tatafu to Rio. Arne started archery in 2009 and made his international debut in 2010, whereas Lusi only began archery in 2012 but like Arne has competed in several high profile international events.
